Vrindavan is a holiest city of India which is situated in the district of Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. It is one of the most scared place of Vaishnavism and is located in the Braj Boomi region. According to Hinduism it is believed that Lord Krishna has born in this remarkable city and spent his entire childhood days. The city is about 11km away from the Mathura Junction and this town hosts many temples which dedicated to the worship of Lord Krishna and Radha. 1.Krishna Janmasthan Temple Mathura

Shri Krishna Janmasthan Temple is located in the holiest town of Mathura. This temple has a great significance as it is believed to be the birth place of Lord Krishna. It is also said that this temple is built around the prison cell in which Lord Krishna’s parents, Mata Devaki and Vasudeva were imprisoned by his uncle Kansa. While entering to this temple the divine beauty and its purity of love fill the heart with conviction where Lord Krishna manifested himself. If you want to visit this temple than better you can visit at the time of festivals like Holi, Janmashtami and Deepawali, which are celebrated with great passion.

2.Birla Mandir Mathura

It is situated around 7km away from Mathura Junction on the Mathura-Vrindavan road. Birla Mandir is also popularly known as Gita Mandir. This temple is considered to be as the hotspot for tourist because it is a famous Hindu pilgrimage site dedicated to Lord Lakshmi Narayan an avatar of Vishnu. Birla Mandir is built by Jugal Kishore Birla in the memory of his parents and the entire Bhagavad Gita is described on the pillars of this temple. The Marble walls paintings of Gods and Goddesses in the pillars of this temple give a mesmerizing view.

3.Nandgaon

Nandgaon is a quaint and beautiful little town which is situated at the base of a Nandisvara hill. This town is located at a distance of 50km from Mathura main town. It is also believed to be the home town Lord Krishna adopted parents- shri Nandji and Yashoda Maiyya. In addition to this, there is a famous lake called Pan Sarovar which is a major attraction for all the pilgrim and tourist. There are also many temples which is situated at the top of the hill such as Nritya Gopal, Nand Nandan, Udhav Kyaro and Gopinath. 

4.Vishram Ghat

Vishram Ghat is located at a distance of 5km from Mathura Junction and is situated on the banks of river Ganga. It is considered to be as one of the main ghat and is central to other 25 ghats. There are 12 ghats towars North and 12 ghats towards South and this Vishram is at the center. Pilgrims comes from different parts of the country to take a bath in this holy water and perform the traditional parikrama. This ghat displays a spectacular view during the time of Evening prayers and aarti. Vishram ghat gets a huge crowd during the time of Bhaidooj, which falls on the second to third day after Deepawali. Pligrims or visitors can also enjoy the boat ride and get the entire scenic beauty of the soothing Yamuna river.

5.Kusum Sarovar

It is located between Govardhan and Radha Kund in Vrindavan. Kusum Sarovar is a beautiful reservoir which is built with a palatial sandstone. According to the people, this Kusum Sarovar got its name from one of the attendants of Radha, named Kusum. This Sarovar also has several temples and ashrams in the vicinity. The entire pond is boarded with forest containing several flowers like chameli, beli, champa and mallika. It is also believed that Lord Krishna used to collect the flowers and make garlands for Radha. Visitors can also enjoy the Sunset from this pond because this gives such a soothing and ethnic beauty.

6.Dwarkadish Temple

Dwarkadish temple is considered to be one of the most holiest temple in Mathura. It is famous all over the country because of its architecture and paintings. This temple is built in the year 1814, which is relatively new. The Dwarkadish temple is dedicated to Lord Dwarkadheesh, a form of Lord Krishna, depicted in a black marble idol. It is situated with in the perimeter of the city’s holy gate, near the ghats of Yamuna river. More than thousands of devotee arrive every day to devotee their obeisance.  The beauty of paintings and architectural design of the temple give a tremendous view during the time of Sunset.

7.Radha Vallabh Mandir

It is situated near Gotam Nagar on the cliff of Bankey Bihari temple, which is known as one of the seven temples of Thakur of Vrindavan. This temple mainly dedicates to the sacred and divine loved of Lord Krishna and Radha. Radha Vallabh Mandir give its shinning view due to its striking architecture and magnificence décor. It is also known to be one of the oldest temple of Mathura. From my point of view this is the best place to visit in Mathura specially for couples.

8.Vaishno Devi Dham

This temple is located on the road side of Vrindavan. Vaishno Devi Dham is popularly known as Mata Vaishno Devi Mandir. Thousands of devotees come to visit this gigantic heritage site. It is established by Shri JC. Chaudhry, the temple is visited by huge amount of pilgrims to worship the magnificent idol of Ma Vaishno Devi. The inner beauty of the temple is quite mesmerizing and its give a inner peace to every devotees. There is also a very strict checking before you enter to this temple. The main Central hall of this mandir is mainly for meditation. You can also get a gigantic view of Mata Vaishno Devi from far distance because the idol of Mata Vaishno Devi is quite large.

9.Banke Bihari Temple

Banke Bihari Temple is situated in Vrindavan and considered to be one of the most holiest and famous temples of Lord Krishna in entire world. It is also known to be one of the most remarkable temples of India. This temple is built on the spot where Lord Krishna used to perform Ras Leela and Ras GArba with the gopis of Vrindavan. If you want to visit this temple than you mainly visit in the festival time such as Holi and Janmastami because the huge crowd gathered at this festival and they enjoy the holi with great enthusiast. It is also believed that Lord Krishna used to come Nidhivan every night.

10.Prem Mandir

Prem Mandir is known to be one of the most beautiful and loveable temple in entire India. It is situated at the road side of Vrindavan and from the main town of Mathura 50km far way. If you want to visit this temple than I will prefer you visit during evening time because at this time you will get the most exotic view of this temple.
