Union Public Service Commission, UPSC Prelims 2022 notification has been released today – February 2, 2022. Candidates who wish to appear for the UPSC Civil Services 2022 and UPSC Indian Forest Services (IFS) have to apply for the UPSC Prelims examination. The notification has been released on the official UPSC website – upsc.gov.in. Applications would begin on upsconline.nic.in.

Candidates can fill out the online application forms for the Civil Services Prelims and Indian Forest Services Prelims till February 22, 2022, till 6 PM. The recruitment exams by UPSC will be filling a large number of vacancies in the organisation. Candidates can find an approximate break up of the vacancies below.

UPSC Civil Services 2022 Mains would be conducted in September and Indian Forest Services Mains would be conducted in November. The eligibility for both examinations is a graduate degree from a recognized university in the country. The age limit of 32 is also applicable for the examination.

CANDIDATES TO ENSURE THEIR ELIGIBILITY FOR THE EXAMINATION:

Candidates may please note that the eligibility criteria also includes a number of attempts and an upper age limit. Candidates who have exhausted the number of attempts but still are within the age are also not eligible. Also, there is no cap on the number of attempts for the reserved category students but there is an extended upper age limit.

The Candidates applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfill all eligibility conditions for admission to examination. Their admission to all the stages of the examination will be purely provisional subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions. Mere issue of e-Admit Card to the candidate will not imply that his/her candidature has been finally cleared by the Commission. The Commission takes up verification of eligibility conditions with reference to original documents only after the candidate has qualified for Interview/Personality Test.

LAST DATE FOR RECEIPT OF APPLICATIONS :

The online Applications can be filled up to 22nd February, 2022 till 6:00 PM. The eligible candidates shall be issued an e-Admit Card three weeks before the commencement of the examination. The e-Admit Card will be made available in the UPSC website [https://upsconline.nic.in ] for downloading by candidates. No Admit Card will be sent by post.

UPSC Prelims 2022 Examination

There are two papers that the candidate has to appear for in the UPSC Prelims examination. The first paper is of General Awareness where questions from Indian polity, history, current affairs, mathematics, science, sports, etc., are asked. There is another paper that is a qualifier and if of general aptitude. Candidates who do not clear the aptitude or CSAT examination are not shortlisted for the Mains examination.
