2.Badrinath Temple
It is one of the most popular and visited religious temple of the Hindus which is located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. This famous temple lies between between Nar and Narayana Mountain ranges. Badrinath is among the four prominent Char dham pilgrimage sites of India and also known as “Chota Char Dham”. It is situated at an height of 3,300 m . In this temple Lord Vishnu is worshipped. Many devotees get attracted by the design of the temple which is made of traditional Garhwali wooden architecture.
3.Amarnath Cave
It is situated in a narrow gorge at the further end of Lidder Valley and stands at an height of 3,888m which is 46 km from Pahalgam and 14 km from Baltal. Amarnath Cave is considered as one of the major Hindu Dhams. This Holy cave is the abode of Lord Shiva. Inside the Cave there is a ice-lingam. Amarnath Cave is about 5000 years old and this pilgrimage is not for the faint-hearted, so before travelling to this cave make sure that you all must have enough supplies for your trip.
4.Kashi Vishwanath Temple
It is known as one of the famous Hindu temple which is dedicated to lord Shiva. This temple is located in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh which has been considered as the spiritual capital of India. Varanasi is also known as the oldest ancient city in the world. The Kashi Vishwanath temple stands at the western bank of holy river Ganga. A visit to Kashi vishwanath is believed to be a way to achieve Moksha.
5.Somnath Temple
It is one of the oldest Pilgrimage center in India which is located in Prabhas Kshetra in Saurashtra. This famous temple is also mentioned in the ancient books of Shiv Puran, Skanda Purana and Shreemad Bhagvat Gita. This famous temple has reconstructed several times in the past after repeated destruction by Muslim Invaders and in present the temple was reconstructed in Chaulukya style of Hindu temple architecture. The word Soma has a unique meaning which means Soma refers to “Moon God”, thus it belongs to Somnath and it means “Protector of the Moon God”.
6.Kedarnath Temple
Kedarnath temple is situated in the Himalayan range of Garhwal Valley in Uttarakhand. It is one of the most sacred shines in the world. This is also considered as the most visited pilgrimage center. The temple was restored by Adi Sankaracharya in the 8th century. It is standing at a height of 3,583 metres which is surrounded by the snow and glaciers. Kedarnath Temple is devoted to lord Shiva. But in winter season it remains close due to bad weather condition.
7.Akshardham Temple
It is situated near the bank of River Yamuna in Delhi. The temple is reflected with Ancient Indian Architecture and the Spirituality. The principal deity of the temple is Lord Swaminarayan. The 11 feet idol which lies below the central dome of the temple. The stone which are used to built this temple are rajasthani pink stone and Italian Carrara marble. The visitor can also get a magnificent view during the night time because the beautifully installed lighting arrangements.
8.Prem Mandir
Prem Mandir is known to be one of the most beautiful and loveable temple in entire India. It is situated at the road side of Vrindavan and from the main town of Mathura 50km far way. It is located in the hilly town of Tirumala in Andhra Pradesh. Tirupati Balaji temple is also known as the Tirumala Venkateswara temple. The Yatra strat from the base camp of Katra which is 12 km away. This Cave attracts millions of devotees every year due to the unflinching faith which shown from all parts of India and abroad. There are no statues or idols inside the Cave. The Yatris or pilgrimage are blessed to have darshan of three famous natural rock formations called the Pindies.
